Brazil Floods: A State in Crisis

Brazil’s southern Rio Grande do Sul state is currently facing one of its worst natural disasters in history. Heavy rainfall has caused severe flooding, claiming the lives of at least 78 people over the past week. The situation remains dire as rescue efforts continue amidst rising floodwaters.

1. Rising Death Toll: The death toll from the Brazil floods has climbed to 78, with more casualties feared as heavy rains persist. Many are still missing, with 105 people reported as unaccounted for on Sunday. Rescue teams are working tirelessly to locate and save those in danger.

Water levels in some areas are at their highest in almost 150 years, according to the Brazilian Geological Service.
